The 2016 Oscar Nominees

The 2016 Academy Awards announced its full list of nominees today for the biggest awards show of the season.

As expected, “The Revenant” was a major force this year, dominating across multiple categories with 12 nominations total — including one for Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor, his best shot yet at finally getting his hands on an elusive Oscar.

The next-biggest presence on the list? Not so predictable: “Mad Max: Fury Road” is nominated in 10 categories, including Best Picture and Best Director nod for George Miller.

I really was surprised by this new MARVEL movie 'cause the trailer doesn't show a lot.

If you're an Avengers, Thor, Iran Man and other movies from MARVEL'S fan you must see this one.

It will surprise you.

I rate Ant-Man 9/10.

Speechless ... | Ted 2

Honestly I was extremely disappointed about this movie, I liked the first one but this is a disaster.

Starting by the story itself and ending by the Ted having a baby and a lawyer defend him in court for the sake he is fighting for his human rights.

So confusing ... I rate it 4.5/10.

The Water Diviner

I just saw this amazing movie with Russell Crowe and it’s definitely a must-see movie.

The strength of a man who tries to find his three sons in a foreign country is remarkable.

After his wife’s death he travels to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli, it was an unsuccessful attempt by the Allied Powers to control the sea route from Europe to Russia during World War I, but you are asking why Australian guys were in that battle?

The campaign began with a failed naval attack by British and French ships on the Dardanelles Straits in February-March 1915 and continued with a major land invasion of the Gallipoli Peninsula on April 25, involving British and French troops as well as divisions of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC).

Connors' sons were at the ANZAC division and now he tries to find them to bring them home like he had promised to his wife.

The Water Diviner is rated with a 7.3/10 at The IMDB.

Mila Kunis as Jupiter Jones and Channing Tatum as the hot/hero Caine Wise are the main characters of this futuristic movie.

Jupiter is a young woman who fights alongside his mother for survival.

In a certain moment she is taken to a reality that she was unaware of its existence.

Caine will be the one who will be by her side in this journey, while the heirs of the throne Abrasax will try hard to destroy her.

Besides that the clothes are astonishing and all the details are breathtaking.

The IMDB rate is 6/10 but personally I would give 7.5/10 for the movie and 8.9/10 for the wardrobe.

É esse o estado de choque com que recebemos “O Lobo de Wall Street”.

"Abram alas para a a libertinagem e o deboche orquestrados por Martin Scorsese na potência máxima do escândalo dos ladrões de colarinho branco.

Mas vamos ao início - é um relativamente inocente Jordan Belfort aquele que chega, pleno de esperança e ambição e com apenas 22 anos, a Manhattan, para o seu primeiro dia de trabalho em Wall Street. Apadrinhado pelo corretor veterano interpretado por mais um laivo de inspiração divina de Matthew McConaughey, Belfort aprende que apenas duas coisas o ajudarão a subir na vida e no universo da bolsa: 1º, tem de relaxar; e 2º, tem de começar a juntar cocaína à sua lista de bens-essenciais do dia-a-dia.

A sorte (ainda) não está do lado de Belfort, que vê a Segunda-Feira Negra de 1987 despejá-lo no desemprego. A contar tostões num país que subitamente deixou de ver nos corretores as suas “estrelas de rock santificadas”, Belfort aplica os seus dons (quase) sobrenaturais numa humilde firma que vende ações de baixo custo. 

A premissa por detrás da escalada de inclinação exponencial para a riqueza e o poder é complexa, mas apresentada à audiência de forma relativamente simples: resumindo, Belfort começou por vender ações normais a indivíduos ricos e depois de ter ganho a sua confiança, começava a vender-lhes ações duvidosas e de baixo valor, onde arrecadaria uma comissão de 50% por venda, em vez do tradicional 1%. Foi esta ilegal descoberta da roda dourada que tornou rapidamente Belfort e os seus sócios, ricos além da imaginação – só depois, eventualmente, chegaram os subornos, branqueamento de capitais, insider trading e por aí fora.

Estava estendida a carpete do surrealismo monetário, com milhões de dólares a choverem ao longo de uma simples semana de cinco dias úteis. O exército liderado por Belfort, que lhe responde com explosivos gritos de guerra aos inspirados discursos, é uma tropa de elite no momento de ataque, e um grupo de descontrolados entre as festas Gatsbianas de Belfort.

E o alcance dos seus feitos, seja a rodar prostitutas pelo escritório inteiro, ou a alinhar cocaína como se de uma autoestrada para o paraíso se tratasse, é capaz de envergonhar os protagonistas d’”A Ressaca”.

Eventualmente, e compreensivelmente, o FBI começa a farejar o caso, e nada bate certo. Quando a espiral insana de Belfort começa a desmoronar-se, na última secção do filme, a mudança de tom ameaça o quadro de Scorsese, e a audiência percebe-o. É a chamada “conclusão ressacada”, que não consegue acompanhar totalmente a explosão inebriada do primeiro ato.

Transformar esta besta energética num filme de três horas terá sido, provavelmente, uma ambição gulosa de difícil digestão para grande parte da audiência.

O filme – e, sobretudo os seus intervenientes – vêem-se tão embrenhados nesta frenética criação que levam a colocar em questão a necessidade de uma duração de três horas para contar uma história de humor negro, à qual uma bem medida hora e meia chegaria. A segunda questão que surge é, no entanto, tentadora: quantas vezes aparecerá uma história debochada como esta com Martin Scorsese pronto a realizá-la?

O nosso Lobo - Leonardo DiCaprio - teve uma tarefa duríssima. As personalidades espalhafatosas são a materialização do gozo maior para um ator em metamorfose, mas são as suas peculiaridades e subtilezas – elas existem em Belfort, por mais difícil que seja vê-lo – que separam uma interpretação boa de uma de excelência. A de DiCaprio pertence à última categoria, e é um retrato empolgante e empolgado de um homem que, além dos seus inquestionáveis dons, era desprezivelmente interessante e divertido.

A maior parte do enredo e das aventuras que o pintam foram retiradas da memória homónima escrita por Belfort. Alguns dos episódios mais surreais têm o inacreditável selo do “verídico”, e nada mais podemos fazer que não recolher cuidadosamente o queixo do chão, uma e outra vez.

Esta exibição pornográfica de luxo, poder e sexo não se amontoa para construir um conto moral sobre a corrupção e o deboche. Todavia, também não os glorifica. Ao contrário é uma acídica, elétrica e bem calibrada comédia negra, uma ode à decadência e ao hedonismo, e uma farsa épica que mistura o melhor de “Tudo Bons Rapazes” com uma versão moderna do Império de Calígula.

Está reservado para os grandes filmes, os verdadeiramente especiais, o dever de nos questionar. O facto de "O Lobo de Wall Street" se distanciar mais ou menos do estatuto de obra-de-arte não contribui, todavia, para que não deixe inquietantes perguntas à nossa consideração: estamos a olhar para o comportamento desviante ou para um espelho? É a ganância uma característica do indivíduo psicótico ou um traço indiluível da natureza humana que contribui, inclusive, para a evolução da nossa espécie?

As respostas, essas, estão prontas para abalar o seu mundo."
